A: No, you will need to arrange for your own insurance should you wish to be covered. All items stored with Storage HQ are stored at the owner’s risk. You may wish to enquire with your insurance broker about having specific cover for your items while in storage. We are happy to explain all of our security features to you in detail, to assist with any concerns your insurance provider may have. Generally gaining insurance for our units is not an issue.
Q: Is there anything I can’t store in my Storage HQ unit?
A: Yes. We don’t allow any living animals or plants to be stored in our units, and perishables such as food are also prohibited. We restrict the storage of hazardous materials – such as flammable liquids and explosives – this includes barbeque bottles, gas heater bottles and flammable paint, and dangerous and unauthorised items such as firearms, illegal drugs or stolen goods.
Q: How much will my storage unit cost?
A: How much you pay for your storage unit will depend on the size of the unit you have selected, and the length of the term you have chosen. Q: What am I able to store in my Storage HQ unit?
A: You are able to store pretty much anything within your Storage HQ unit – as long as it doesn’t come under our prohibited items list. Many of our clients use our storage facilities in between house moves, or when travelling for extended periods overseas. We’ve also had classic vehicles stored with us, office files and business documents. Stock surplus, retail shelving units, and even holiday home furniture while renovating. Really, how you use your unit is completely up to you: we provide the security monitoring and secure structures, you bring the contents!
Q: Are your Storage HQ units secure?
A: Of course! Our facilities include 24 hour monitored CCTV surveillance cameras, onsite automatic lighting, and customisable padlocking. Entry is strictly monitored and controlled via our unique online portal, allowing our clients to log their access times and giving them complete peace of mind. Storage HQ clients provide their own padlocks, meaning that no one else at our facility has the ability to access your unit.
Q What hours am I able to access my unit?
A: Storage HQ access hours are between 6:00am – 9:00pm.
Q: Do you have minimum and maximum storage times?
A: Yes – we require a one month minimum payment, which is due up front prior to taking possession of the unit. We do not offer refunds should you need less time, however we do offer structured discounts for long-term usage.
